This beautiful April engagement session with Alina, Leo, and their sweet beagle Pixel took place at the iconic Leuty Lifeguard Station in the Beaches neighborhood of Toronto. It was a calm, overcast day—perfect for soft lighting and timeless film photography.
All images were photographed on Kodak Portra 400 film and developed and scanned by C41 Film Labs in Toronto.
This was my first time working with their lab, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality of their scans and the care they put into every frame. I’ll definitely be trusting them with more rolls in the future.
Alina and Leo brought such tenderness and warmth to their session. Wearing matching long coats in earthy tones, they looked completely at home on the pebbled beach. Their dog Pixel was the heart of the shoot—posing like a pro, wagging happily, and bringing out even more natural joy in the couple.
As a Toronto wedding and engagement photographer, I love photographing in the Beaches.
The combination of lake views, natural textures, and iconic backdrops like the lifeguard station make it one of my favorite locations for couple sessions, especially on film.

Alina and Leo are not only a beautiful couple—they’re also a talented photo and video team based in Toronto.
We met through this shoot and became real friends. Since then, we’ve worked together on larger weddings that require two photographers and two videographers, ensuring complete coverage of every angle and emotion. Check out their work on Instagram: @leolina.ca

It’s a different setting, but the same intention: real connection, gentle direction, and images that feel timeless rather than trendy.
