A Sweet In-Home Maternity Photoshoot in Toronto

Natalie and Bogdan’s Toronto maternity photoshoot was incredibly sweet and personal. We photographed them at home on July 13, 2026, beginning with quiet portraits in the beautiful natural window light before moving outside into their garden. Their two dogs and parrot joined the session as well, which made the photographs feel even more like a portrait of their family exactly as it is right now — just before it grows a little bigger.

This is one of the reasons I love being a maternity photographer in Toronto and photographing families in their own homes. Familiar spaces bring so much more meaning to the photographs and allow genuine moments to happen naturally. Natalie and Bogdan could simply be together, spend time with their pets, walk through their backyard and enjoy this very special stage of their lives without the feeling of a formal photoshoot.

An Emotional Gender Reveal

The most unforgettable part of the session was Natalie and Bogdan’s gender reveal. They opened the reveal together during the photoshoot and discovered that they are expecting a baby girl. It was actually the first gender reveal I had ever photographed, and witnessing their reactions from just a few feet away was incredibly special and emotional.

Soon their family of two, two dogs and a parrot will welcome one more little person. Natalie and Bogdan, thank you for letting me document such a meaningful afternoon in your lives. I wish you both all the happiness in the world as you wait to meet your daughter.
