On March 6, 2026, Toronto hosted one of the most impactful and stylish charity events of the year — the 4th annual SickKids Fired Up Gala. Held at the luxurious The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, this black-tie gala brought together philanthropists, community leaders, healthcare advocates, and supporters for an unforgettable night in support of pediatric care at SickKids Hospital.
The event combined elegant celebration with heartfelt purpose, raising vital funds for the Burn & Plastics Unit at SickKids, while creating an atmosphere of joy, connection, and generosity.

From start to finish, the Fired Up Gala was thoughtfully curated to offer guests an experience that felt both festive and meaningful.
The evening included:
This combination of formal program elements and joyful celebration created a dynamic evening that balanced elegance with genuine purpose, making every moment feel memorable and impactful.

The core mission of the Fired Up Gala has always been to support the Burn & Plastics Unit at SickKids, a specialized program delivering critical pediatric care.
The funds raised during the event support:
More than just a fundraiser, the gala helped build awareness of the challenges families face and the life-changing work happening at SickKids every day. The generosity of attendees, sponsors, and donors plays a real role in advancing care for children from across Ontario and beyond.

The Fired Up Gala is the creation of event director Roxy Zapala, founder and creative director of Art of Celebrations — a Toronto-based event planning and design firm with nearly two decades of experience in producing social and corporate events. Roxy’s vision for the gala grew out of a personal family experience with SickKids, and her dedication has helped shape the Fired Up Gala into an annual highlight for philanthropic supporters in the region.
The event also featured partners and contributors from the Toronto creative community, including:
Sponsors for the event represented a wide range of industries, underscoring how local partners and corporations come together to back impactful community initiatives.

Beyond the formal program, one of the most memorable parts of the evening was the sense of shared purpose among guests. Long-time supporters of SickKids, first-time donors, and community leaders alike gathered under one roof, united by the belief that every child deserves access to world-class care.
The venue itself — The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto — provided a fitting backdrop for this message: refined surroundings paired with a warm, inclusive energy. Elegant décor, stylish guests, and uplifting conversations filled the room, creating a sense of optimism and hope that lasted well into the afterparty.

I had the pleasure of photographing the 4th SickKids Fired Up Gala 2026, capturing the emotions, elegance, and impactful moments from the evening.
