Achal and Meera’s Proposal at Parkwood Estate

A Beautifully Planned Surprise Engagement in Oshawa, Ontario

When Achal reached out to us a few weeks before the big day, he had one goal in mind — to create a magical surprise proposal for his girlfriend, Meera. From the very beginning, it was clear how much thought and care he was putting into every detail. His original idea was for us to photograph the proposal from afar, so Meera wouldn’t suspect a thing. But together, we came up with something even better — a full “giveaway photoshoot” plan that would make the surprise absolutely seamless.

We announced a mock giveaway on Instagram, and Achal tagged Meera’s account. Once they were “selected” as winners, we reached out to Meera to coordinate what she thought was just a complimentary couple’s session. In reality, Achal had already chosen the date and location — the breathtaking Parkwood Estate — well in advance.

On the day of the shoot, everything came together perfectly. The golden afternoon light, the soft blush tones of Meera’s dress, and the timeless European elegance of the estate created a romantic, cinematic atmosphere. As we moved through the gardens, surrounded by fountains and manicured hedges, Meera had no idea what was about to happen.

And then — at the perfect moment — Achal dropped to one knee and asked the question that changed everything. Her surprise was genuine, her joy infectious, and the emotion of that moment filled the air. It was one of those beautiful, heartfelt proposals that remind us why we love what we do.

Capturing Emotions in the Heart of Parkwood Gardens

The Parkwood Estate in Oshawa is one of the most elegant and photogenic venues in Ontario. Its grand architecture, formal gardens, and soft, glowing light at sunset make it an ideal location for romantic engagement and proposal sessions. We photographed the couple among the fountains, under ivy-covered arches, and along the garden paths — every frame reflecting their connection and joy.
