A Cozy, Heartfelt Story of Expecting Their First Baby

Bonnie and Nathan are two of the kindest, most genuine souls we’ve had the joy to photograph. Bonnie is a true artist — an incredibly talented florist and the creative heart behind Marigold Prairies. We first met her while documenting Samantha and Ryan’s wedding, where her floral designs brought so much beauty and personality to the day.

This time, the story was entirely her own. Bonnie and Nathan are expecting their first baby this winter, and we wanted their maternity photoshoot to reflect who they are as a couple — calm, warm, creative, and deeply connected.

A Relaxed and Emotional Maternity Session at Home

The first part of the shoot took place in their cozy home. The light streamed softly through the windows as they played cards, shared tea, talked, and laughed. Their puppy joined in the fun, curling up beside them and stealing the spotlight in the sweetest way.

These little moments — the touch of a hand, the sound of laughter, the quiet comfort of being together — are what make at-home maternity sessions so special. There’s no need for posing or perfection. It’s about capturing your story exactly as it is — natural, warm, and real.

After spending time indoors, we stepped outside into the late-afternoon light.
