Courtney and Helder wanted their engagement photoshoot to feel like a date — natural, sweet, and intimate. They chose one of my favorite Toronto locations, the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant, known for its timeless architecture and peaceful atmosphere by Lake Ontario.
This location always shines during golden hour, when the light glows softly across the stone walls and the lake sparkles in the background. As the sun began to set, the couple walked hand in hand, laughing, talking, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Courtney had a clear vision for this session — she wanted it to reflect who they are as a couple: relaxed, connected, and full of quiet joy. Together, we made that vision come to life. Every moment — from their gentle hugs to the carefree laughter by the shoreline — tells the story of two people deeply in love and perfectly in tune with each other.
What made this engagement session truly special was its simplicity. There were no elaborate props or poses — just two people being themselves in a breathtaking location. The combination of the sun-kissed tones, the sound of waves, and their genuine emotions created a timeless collection of photographs.
The R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant offers an ideal mix of romantic coastal scenery and architectural elegance, making it one of Toronto’s most cinematic backdrops for engagement photography. Whether walking along the beach, dancing in the wind, or sharing quiet glances, every frame captured the essence of their connection.
