On April 30, 2025, I had the pleasure of photographing Cecilia and Julian’s engagement session in one of the most iconic and historically rich locations in Toronto — the University of Toronto. As proud alumni, both Cecilia and Julian share deep ties to this place, making it the perfect backdrop for their engagement photoshoot in Toronto. From elegant stone architecture to soft spring blossoms, every corner of the campus brought out the warmth and connection between them.
We began our engagement photography session at Hart House, a stunning Gothic-style venue nestled within the university campus. The light filtering through the arches and trees gave a cinematic touch to each frame. We then walked to one of the university dormitories — the very building where Julian once lived during his student years. Photographing the couple outside that building added an emotional and nostalgic layer to the shoot, capturing their shared memories.
Our final stop was the beautiful Trinity College, known for its fairytale architecture, cloisters, and quiet pathways. The stone archways and springtime blooms offered the perfect setting for natural, romantic portraits. This location is a hidden gem for engagement photography in Toronto — timeless, elegant, and peaceful. Cecilia’s white outfit and Julian’s classic suit were a perfect match for the historic tones of the setting.
For couples looking for a Toronto engagement photographer, the University of Toronto is a dream location. Whether you’re alumni like Cecilia and Julian or simply drawn to the old-world charm, the combination of gardens, stone buildings, and soft light creates magic on camera. As a local photographer based in the GTA, I always recommend this spot for couples wanting photos that feel personal and timeless.
