On April 18, 2025, we had the joy of documenting Eric and Christie’s wedding at the beautiful Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax, Ontario. As Toronto wedding photographers, we’ve photographed many weddings across the GTA, but this day stood out for its combination of heartfelt tradition, pure fun, and natural beauty.
The day began in a cozy forest Airbnb surrounded by trees — a peaceful and private location that perfectly matched the relaxed energy of the morning. Christie got ready with her bridesmaids, sharing laughter and quiet moments before the day unfolded. Everything felt calm and joyful, setting the tone for a beautiful day ahead.
Eric and his groomsmen arrived for the traditional Chinese gate crash — and it quickly became one of the most entertaining ones we’ve witnessed. From colorful costumes to hilarious challenges, this part of the morning was packed with laughter and creativity. It was the kind of photo session that truly celebrates the joy of traditions.
Before the tea ceremony, Eric and Christie shared a private first look. The moment was deeply emotional — a quiet, tender pause amidst a fast-paced day. As Ontario photographers, we love when couples make space for genuine connection. The forest setting added intimacy and cinematic light to every frame.
One of the most beautiful elements of this wedding was the Chinese tea ceremony. Surrounded by close family members, Eric and Christie honored their heritage with grace and emotion. The light-filled room, the red accents, and the ceremonial outfits made the photos timeless and meaningful. This is the kind of photography we love — rich in both culture and connection.
The ceremony took place outdoors at Deer Creek Golf Club, just after a spring rain. The skies cleared just in time, bathing the scene in soft light. Their adorable puppy Peppa walked down the aisle as ring bearer, adding even more sweetness to the moment. The entire ceremony felt like a celebration of love, nature, and family.
After the ceremony, we explored the golf course for portraits. With its manicured grounds and open skies, Deer Creek is one of the best locations for wedding photography in Ontario. We also took time for family formals under the floral arch at the white gazebo — timeless, classic, and full of emotion.
The evening reception was lively and full of surprises — including musical performances, emotional speeches, and a full dance floor. Guests of all ages joined in the celebration. As photographers in Toronto, we especially loved capturing the interactions, reactions, and small details that made the evening unforgettable.
We had previously photographed Eric and Christie’s winter engagement session at Graydon Hall Manor, where we waited for the perfect snowy day in Toronto. That quiet and romantic shoot in the snow perfectly complements their wedding gallery, showing two different seasons of their story — and two very different vibes.
This day was captured by both of us — Alexandra and Vladimir. Vladimir was second photographer, and together we documented every candid, joyful, and emotional moment.
Thank you, Eric and Christie, for trusting us with your story. We had such a wonderful time celebrating with you and your amazing families — full of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable energy. You made our job as photographers not only easy but truly meaningful.
