When Judi and Raj reached out for their engagement photoshoot, they knew exactly what they wanted: a celebration of the places that shaped their love story. As a Toronto engagement photographer, I always encourage couples to choose locations with meaning, and this session was the perfect example of how personal memories turn into timeless photographs.
We started the engagement photoshoot in the building where Judi and Raj first lived together. This space wasn’t just a backdrop – it was the beginning of their story, full of firsts, laughter, and memories that built the foundation of their relationship.
Our next stop was The Bentway, a space in downtown Toronto where Judi and Raj spent countless evenings. The modern architecture and urban vibe added a fresh contrast to their soft, romantic energy. For them, The Bentway is more than a location – it’s where many of their dates unfolded and where their bond grew stronger.
No engagement photoshoot in Toronto would be complete without a touch of authenticity. Judi and Raj’s favorite spot to grab pizza is Pizzeria Badiali. We picked up a box of their signature pie and headed to Trinity Bellwoods Park. Sharing a pizza in the park brought out their playful side and captured them just as they are – joyful, relaxed, and deeply connected.
On another day, we continued the story at the breathtaking Guild Inn Estate. This location, with its historic stone arches and golden fall colors, gave a more formal and timeless feel. Judi and Raj wore their national outfits, which added elegance and cultural depth to the session. The combination of love, heritage, and a dramatic backdrop made this part of the photoshoot especially meaningful.
What stood out most during this engagement session was how much every location meant to Judi and Raj. They shared stories, laughter, and memories at each stop, reminding me why I love capturing couples in places that truly reflect who they are. Engagement photography is not just about creating beautiful images – it’s about documenting a couple’s journey in a way that feels authentic and timeless.
We were honored to also photograph Judi and Raj’s wedding on May 24, 2025. Their celebration was a continuation of this heartfelt journey, and I’ll be sharing their wedding story soon (link here).
